Short description
Sirocco is a desert world with a rolling 3D landscape and lots of unique and innovative buildings. FormatCdrive founded Sirocco way back in '97 or '98. Since then it has been through several server disasters which wiped all the buildings off its map, and has been rebuilt several times. Lately we have found a reliable server, so we doubt that will be happening again. Following are some pictures of Sirocco I am way overdue to put up. Sorry for the delay Ruff/Zel/Zims, but here you go!
- Update - since the page I posted yesterday took 15 and 1/2 minutes to download (even though it only took 5 minutes to upload), I have made thumbnails of all the pictures for you to browse through and click on what looks interesting to load the full-size picture.

Looks like this is Rufferto's Snake Altar.

Rufferto's Dragon/Snake pit.

One of Rufferto's Gates. Seems to have a bunch of ghost greys with big pointy teeth in front of it.

The central Chat Hall of Sirocco, underground. A nice place, and the hub of all the underground tunnels. Rufferto's texturing skill really shows here.

This is another version of the central Chat Hall of Sirocco, underground. Also very nice.

Part of Rufferto's very helpful texture hall. This is a place to wander around and check out the available textures on walls chock-full of thumbnails. Also a good place to park one's avatar for an hour or two to download all of Sirocco's many textures. Sirocco has one of the largest collections of textures of all of Active Worlds.

This is what happens to people that stop participating in AW. Wake up FCD!

Inside Zelaquin's...uhh...resteraunt? I will find out the actual name soon, but anyway it is a very good structure.

View of some type of temple by Zelaquin as seen through the trees. Notice the well in the foreground.

A picture of Zelaquin's fantastic art gallery. This is quite innovative.

Another view of Zelaquin's art gallery.

Interior view of Zelaquin's art gallery.

The entrance to the extensive underground tombs built by Zelaquin, outside view.

Inside the entrance to Zelaquin's extensive underground tombs.

Underground, in the tombs by Zelaquin.

This part of the tomb by Zelaquin is pretty deep.

Tomb by Zelaquin.
