In addition to being a computer technician, I also like doing original art. Most of my art is done in 0.7mm mechanical pencil (which not-so-coincidentally is also what I write with); I've had little practice with other techniques so far. This page showcases a bit of my work that I'm more satisfied with.
Note: beware the sudden shift from black to white if you're in a dark room :) Click images for a larger version.

 Alien Cat Head
This drawing started off as a drawing of our cat, but as you might expect the cat changed positions before the drawing was done, so I went ahead and got creative :)
Cat on PC Chair
Originally this chair was bought for use in front of a computer. For a while the cat took it over and it became known as "The Cat Chair" - maybe it likes it because it's black and all the fur shows up on it. Since the cat was asleep, I got to finish the cat without it moving around much, and practice shading.
Couch Rocket and Tree on Asteroid
I like how the stylized rocket flames and scroll/patternwork came out on this piece. The tree was for something that was started from my mind's eye, without any visual reference, although I think I've seen a concept like that before. The shading worked out well.
Fear the Lemur
I decided to get fancy with text design. It's a pretty simple drawing compared to most of my work (this was more of an experiment), but it's an example of what I like to do with illuminated characters.
Firebird-like Flame Doodle
This was pretty much just a simple doodle under a date at the top of a page of text I'd written, but it looked sort of like a firebird, so I put it up. I may do something fancier eventually.
Weirdly Ornate Leg Creature
Looks like some sort of weird godzilla-like creature with detailed patterns and pictures inside the boundaries. I like some of the effects and may develop them further in other drawings.
