Note: I don't make computers as a business anymore - too unprofitable competing with the likes of multi-million (and -billion) dollar companies like Alienware and Dell!

Comment: With respect to the November 2000 review of the Wireball Assassin in MaximumPC, on P.76:
1) The Assassin got the Kick Ass! Product award, but it was accidentally left off when the magazine was printed. This was noted in the next month's issue of MaximumPC.
2) We have improved the internal cabling, and it is neater now, leaving a better path for airflow.
3) We have also totally eliminated the niggling DMA issue. The DMA issue was actually quite easy to solve; SoundBlaster 16 emulation was preventing the DVD-ROM and CD-RW from operating in DMA mode. They still worked ok, but once SB16 emulation was disabled, performance was improved. Unless you play old DOS games, you will not need SB16 emulation.
